You’ve likely heard that this headset boasts an impressive microphone, and that’s a consistent point across various reviews. But how does it perform for music and gaming, and what about the iCue software?
While the iCue software isn’t mandatory for the headset to function, I highly recommend installing it. It allows for EQ adjustments that really enhance the audio quality. Additionally, the Nvidia Broadcast feature is a standout, effectively reducing background noise and echo without straining your CPU, though it does require an RTX graphics card.
These headphones aren’t quite at audiophile standard, but they deliver excellent sound for gaming and decent audio for music. They lack active noise cancellation but do support Dolby Atmos.
There isn’t a dedicated mute button for the microphone, but raising the mic will mute it.
The battery life doesn’t quite compare to the HyperX Cloud III, but 20 hours works fine for me. Weighing in at 367 grams, they are on the heavier side for gaming headsets, so you might experience some fatigue, though they are relatively light for a wireless headset, considering the Cloud III wireless weighs 329 grams.
Overall, I’d give them a solid 8/10.

This headset is incredibly comfortable and delivers outstanding audio quality. The ability to customize audio profiles through the iCUE app adds a nice touch. Initially, the microphone quality left something to be desired, but a firmware update has resolved those issues, so no need to be concerned if you’ve heard negative feedback in the past. In fact, the microphone quality is now superior to most gaming headsets available. Plus, being Bluetooth is a fantastic bonus, as that’s not common in gaming headsets. They are quite durable, although my only minor complaint is that the ear cushions wore out after some time. Fortunately, they can be easily replaced with custom options, so that’s not a major concern. Overall, this headset is truly excellent.

Overall, this is a really good product. I really like the color; mine is white, and the quality seems just right with excellent sound! You can definitely tell it’s a Corsair product, as it has features that give it a premium feel, but there are also some drawbacks to consider.
Pros:
Cons:
Although the cons may seem more significant, I hardly notice them for my usage. I work in an office and rarely leave the adapter range. If the battery runs low, I just plug them in and continue working; they actually sound better when connected. For my needs, they are perfect, and I love them. I prioritize sound quality, comfort, and the microphone.

The Corsair HS80 RGB Wireless Premium Gaming Headset is one of the best headsets I’ve ever used. The 3D surround sound is fantastic and perfect for gaming. It offers great comfort, even during long sessions. The wireless connection is stable, and the battery life is sufficient for extended gaming marathons. The microphone provides clear voice quality. A must-have for every gamer.

Up until yesterday, everything was perfect. The sound quality was amazing and the comfort unmatched. However, today I noticed something odd with the fit on my head. Upon closer inspection, I found that the fabric covering the foam is starting to detach. It has come loose from the top all the way down the back. If this continues, the foam will eventually fall out since it’s not glued in place. I paid R$ 850, the most I’ve ever spent on headphones, and now these are showing signs of deterioration sooner than any I’ve owned before. I was more worried about the pivot on each earcup flexing outward and breaking, like I’ve experienced with other headphones in the past. Until yesterday, I would have recommended this product. Today, not anymore.

These headphones are fantastic, especially if you find them at a good price! They connect via USB, so a 3.5mm plug would be a nice addition. Right out of the box, the sound quality is decent, but with the app and some EQ adjustments, you can really unlock their full potential. They look stylish and are incredibly comfortable. The controls function smoothly, and setting them up is a breeze—it’s plug-and-play if you skip the app. Overall, the quality is excellent!

The Good: The microphone quality rivals that of standalone mics, and it’s truly impressive. If you’re looking for an excellent gaming headset, this is the one to consider. Once I adjusted them properly, they became quite comfortable and are very lightweight. The software offers plenty of customization options for color and EQ settings, and the sound clarity is remarkable. Overall, the build quality is solid, with no squeaks or creaks when handling the headset.
The Bad: I’m not a fan of strap adjustment headphones for sizing, especially since I have a larger head and had to fully extend the strap for a proper fit. While they are generally comfortable, the model I received came with cloth ear cushions. While I prefer leather, the cloth is acceptable but can feel a bit itchy at times. I also wish the cable were braided for added durability. It seems more emphasis was placed on the microphone than on the headphone drivers; while they don’t sound bad, in intense gaming scenarios with a lot happening, some sounds can become muddled and lack definition.

The headphones are quite impressive. I purchased them used at a lower price, which might have influenced my opinion, but they deliver excellent sound quality on both ends. Watching reviews on YouTube, it’s hard to distinguish when they switch from professional microphones to these headphones, which is quite remarkable. The RGB lights can be a bit distracting, but the iCUE software on Windows and Mac allows you to manage them easily. However, Linux users might face some challenges. If you set your RGB profile while connected to a compatible OS, it will stay on the hardware regardless of the Linux distribution you use. (I use Suicide, by the way.)
They are comfortable to wear, though they may not fit everyone, especially smaller individuals or children. The build quality is top-notch. While I might have some critiques in the future, I don’t have any at the moment. The high-frequency range might be slightly overwhelming, but an equalizer can easily address that. Overall, they perform as well as, if not better than, other headphones in their price range, and the mic quality rivals that of a dedicated omnidirectional mic priced at $50. In my opinion, they are well worth the cost.

This headset not only enhances my ARGB/Aura SYNC lighting setup with its vibrant lighting effects but also provides exceptional functionality. The logo lights up, allowing me to synchronize it with my music beat light show, including my PC, keyboard, mouse, and speakers.
The microphone’s ability to detect and isolate only my voice is a game-changer, eliminating the hassle of frequently muting and unmuting during conversations. I tested it by placing the mic right next to my speakers while playing loud music, and it successfully ignored the music, activating only when it detected speech. The feature that mutes the microphone when lifted is incredibly convenient.
With its comfort level and Dolby Audio 7.1 Surround Sound, it significantly enhances both gaming and audio experiences.
In conclusion, the Corsair HS80 RGB USB headset perfectly combines aesthetics, functionality, and comfort. If you’re in the market for a premium gaming headset with advanced features, this is an excellent choice. I give it a well-deserved 5/5 for its outstanding performance and seamless integration, especially at this price point!

I previously owned an Astro A50, but it stopped working, so I did some research and found this Corsair model. I was a bit hesitant at first, but after using it, I can confidently say it’s fantastic—better, in my opinion, than the Astro A50. I watched an English video that showed how to set up the equalizer for various brands, including Corsair, and the sound quality improved significantly. It’s easy to distinguish footsteps and other details. The sound for music and the microphone quality are also excellent.
